RAID-10 and R1Soft Continuous Data Protection ... As bullet proof protection as today's technology allows

At Beachcomber we take Data Protection seriously...Using a combination of Raid 10 servers and hard drives with Hot-Swap capability, we can remove and replace a failed drive without disruption to your site on the server. We have also implemented R1Soft�s Continuous Data Protection to allow over a dozen data points to choose from; in the event you delete a file or files in error, you can restore any of these points directly from your control panel with ease.  Even in a worst case scenario, (the odds are real long on this, but fate rewards the prepared)  if multiple drives on our systems should fail simultaneously and the server has to be reloaded and the Raid array rebuilt, we will have numerous off-server backup points to choose from so we can restore with the safest and best available backup possible.  Lastly, since all of our R1Soft backups are located off-site, you will be protected from even a catastrophic event at the datacenter that damages the server hardware itself - we will have mirrors elsewhere (hundreds of miles away) and can rebuild on a brand new server or at a new location with minimal dataloss

WHMXtra lets you:

Browser
Allows you to view files and directories on the server as well as edit, move, copy, rename and delete files, create new files and folders, upload files and change ownership and permissions via an easy to use gui.

Log Viewer
Allows you to view various logs, either by alphabetical order or by file size including apache errors, mail logs, cpanel errors as well as search tools to help check your server for illegal MP3 files, movie files, IRC and BNC's among others. Also allows you to view any file or directory as well as update server databases

Delete logs and tmp files
Allows you to delete various server logs and also to clear files out of your /tmp directory safely should it become full without fear of deleting important system files (eg mysql.sock)

View /IP/bandwidth/
Although every cPanel server has a built-in bandwidth monitor (located at http:/bandwidth/), the View /IP/Bandwidth/ link allows you to review bandwidth from within WHM � without having to open a new browser connection to the server. .

View MRTG graphs
Configurable to link to your own MRTG graph, this link loads the page for viewing right into WHM (note: requires MRTG to be installed to function properly).

Allows you to run RootKit Hunter, which can be installed from the Tool Box.

Generate 404's
This link will allow you to generate 404 error files for those that do not have them. This cuts down on the amount of read/writes to the error logs and makes for (less reading when viewing the logs) more streamlined log files. You have the ability to choose between .html, .shtml files (and) or even use your own custom file by upload or using html code right within the script

Fix Quota's:
Cpanel's fixquotas script normally only runs from an SSH commandline window. We've modified it to work from within WHM so next time your quotas get out of whack you can fix them without having to use SSH.

Fix Home Permissions
Another cpanel script modified to work via WHM instead of SSH. Allows you to fix problems with home permissions via WHM.

Fix Everything
Cpanel script modified to work via WHM instead of SSH. Allows you to fix problems with home permissions, quotas, mail permissions and a few others via WHM.

Secure tmp
Cpanel script modified to work via WHM instead of SSH. Allows you to secure your tmp directory via WHM.

Secure it
2 Cpanel scripts modified to work via WHM instead of SSH. Allows you to secure your server a little bit more by shutting down some uneeded services and ports.

Remove old backups
Modified 3rd party script to remove old cpanel backups for accounts no longer on the server. Free's up space on your backup drive without manually having to find and remove the backups.

Fix dual horde inboxes
Modified 3rd party script to to scan for users with two horde inboxes and combine them into one without losing any mail.

Configure links
Allows you to configure the links for Fantastico, RV Skins, MRTG, support and billing.

Wget/Lynx
Allows you to disable and enable wget and lynx via WHM. Just a bit more security.

Support Limitations

We are a fully server-managed company (we manage the server)...we do kernel updates and ensure that all preinstalled software is and stays operational (other than Fantastico scripts...we make sure Fantastico itself works but can't warranty the scripts included WITH Fantastico). We also monitor 8 ports on the server to be sure they are operational and intercede (assuming your server password is up to date with sales) if they fail automatically. We will install almost any requested module as long as there are no security issues.  We do not guarantee support for custom software or scripts but will do our best to help if we can.
